The
Facebook social-messaging app WhatsApp is working on adding new
features to its platform. Facebook is already working to hide mute
status updates and share status.
A new report
shows that the company is working on adding a QR Code scanner on its
platform.
According to
a report from WhatsAppBetaInfo, Whatsapp is working on adding a QR
code shortcut to its Android app. Feature is available for Whatsapp
beta for Android version 2.19.189. although it is Not all beta
testers are visible yet and it is possible that the social messaging app will
enable this beta tester to enable all beta testers in future updates.

Although
there are fewer details about the feature at this time, however, a screenshot
shared by a Twitter user, which goes by Gustav Wesner on micro-blogging
app, shows that the shortcut is on the social messaging app's
account in the settings menu Option will be available above. However, no
further information is available on further features.
While
signing into the WhatsApp web site, WHATSAPP uses QR codes
for traditional authentication. While the Whatsapp web can be accessed by
tapping on the Whatsapp web / desktop option in the Settings section Through
the company's iOS-based app, it can be accessed by a tap on the WhatsApp
web option, which in turn can be accessed by tapping on three dots at the
top right of the company's Android app.

With the
access to Whatsapp web, so easily available on Android, it is unlikely
that Whatsapp will take this feature one step away, which can be
described as direct access. However, it is possible that the company can plan
to move things in order to provide a more similar experience on both of its
platforms, i.e. Android and iOS. In any case, we will have to wait until
we update the updates to all of our beta users to learn more about the social
messaging app feature.
Separately, Whatsapp
has stepped up to launch WhatsApp Payment in India. The company had set
up infrastructure to facilitate WhatsApp payments in India and it has
gone into audit process. Once the auditors submit their reports to the RBI
and give a signal to the central bank company, Whatsapp can apply this facility
to all its users across the country.
